Our goats are registered with the American Dairy Goat Association and we are gearing up to participate in DHIR testing and linear appraisal to improve our herd genetics. We are a G6S normal herd by parentage. We raise bottle-fed kids on heat-treated colostrum and pasteurized milk, weaned about 10-12 weeks. Our herd is clean, tested annually and vaccinated per vet protocol (Cd&T and pneumonia)

During the 2022 season, we had a tremendously difficult season. Somehow, our small herd was infected with mycoplasma ovipneumoniae. It was a hard year for the goats and for us. These lovely does are no longer with us here on the farm but forever in our hearts. We lost 27 goats to this mycoplasma, but learned many things moving forward.
Say hello to our working girls!

Introducing Heldenbrand Farms Fiona and Heldenbrand Farms Aoife!!
ADGA pedigree for Fiona (2023 brown doe) and Aoife (2023 black doe) available when ADGA catches up. These two lovelies are from Paducah, KY and bring genetics from the Goldthwaite lines. We are excited about the addition to the farm and what they may hold for our breeding program.
Lucky Run Farm FPC Twos Day

Twos Day was born 02/02/2022 and is a barn favorite! She is long, wide and deep! She is a second freshener in 2025 and has produced some lovely kids! Twos Day is sweet and the most under-stated herd queen. She is gentle with her correction, a dream on the milk stand, gallon a day milker and little intervention during kidding.
Sire: Fox's Pride Nasc Corona
Dam: Lucky Run Farm Clove 2*M
ADGA PN2233208
Progeney: Front Porch Farm LSY! Dory
Lucky Run Farm TS Levina

Levina aka/Vee is a sweet first freshener in 2025. Gracing us with a lovely buckling and doeling, this girl is champ on the milk stand and puts the milk in the bucket! Vee is a bit lower in the herd dynamics, but high on the human list! She is quite in your pocket and loves an animal cracker or two, three...
Sire: Prairie Ridge Thunderstruck
Dam: Lucky Run Farm Moonshadow
ADGA PN2314041
Progeney: Front Porch Farm AL Peanut
Heldenbrand Farms Aoife (Eee-Fah)

Aoife is a 2025 first freshener and has turned into a lovely doe on the milk stand. She has a nice high udder, secure attachments, lovely fore-udder and lots of room for next freshenings. This doe is long, lean and a nice addition to our milking line. Aoife did grace us with triplets as a first time mom and we are excited to see her doeling grow.
Sire: Heldenbrand Farms Jacobian *B
Dam: Goldthwaite Kentucky Storm

Progeney: Front Porch Farm AL Hazelnut
Heldenbrand Farms Fiona

Fiona is also a 2025 first freshener. What can I say about Fiona... Fiona can go "all Fiona" on most any goat except Twos Day... She has settled down since kidding and shows up to work without much complaint. Fiona taught me a lot this past kidding, experiences that I would have rather not learned but grateful she and her buck made it through. It is uncertain if she will be part of our breeding program for 2026. She is a good girl and bonded with Aoife, so who knows what is in store for her!

The Boys
Hoanbu TM Allegiance

Every herd needs a solid herd sire! Allegiance (aka Gene) definitely brings some solid genetics to our little farm. Gene is still growing into himself and this will be his second year breeding with us. Stay tuned to see how he does!

Dam: Prairie Ridge Angel's Anthem

support staff... Sid and Winds Day

Sid is here to keep Gene company and he is the best boy! He loves to help clean the barn and while he is Gene's best bud, he is not always fond of Gene's blubbering...
Winds Day is my favorite goat ever. We had great plans for her until we discovered she had a double teat and never entered our breeding line up. Winds Day has been a good companion for Dory and keeps the KY girls in line.
